Welcome to the website and other online services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by the Republican Party of Stanislaus County (“RPSC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal information you share with us. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Under California’s Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) we must disclose the categories of personally‑identifiable information (“PII”) we collect and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (see Section 11).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  1. Process contributions and merchandise orders;
  2. Communicate with you about news, events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising appeals;
  3. Customize content and measure campaign performance;
  4. Comply with federal and state election, tax, and other laws (e.g., reporting donor name, address, occupation, and employer for contributions aggregating over $100 per cycle);
  5. Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse of the Services.

3. How We Share Information

We may disclose information:

  • With service providers acting on our behalf (email and SMS platforms such as Mailchimp, Alliance Forge, RumbleUp, GOP Data Center, Anedot; payment processors; data‑hosting and analytics vendors) who are bound to use it only for our purposes;
  • With affiliated Republican committees (e.g., California Republican Party, local GOP clubs) for coordinated political activities;
  • When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RPSC, our supporters, or the public;
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Your Choices & Access

Review / Modify / Delete. You may request to review, correct, or delete PII we hold about you by emailing contactus@stangop.org or writing to the address in Section 12. We will respond within 30 days.
Email Opt‑Out. Each bulk email we send includes a one‑click Unsubscribe link. You may also email us at the address above.
SMS Opt‑Out. If you would like to opt out of receiving campaign text messages, you may reply to one of our messages with STOP. Message & data rates may apply.

5. Cookies, Pixels & Analytics

We and our partners use cookies, local‑storage objects, web beacons, and similar technologies to recognize your browser, improve site performance, and measure the effectiveness of our outreach. You can control cookies through your browser settings or by choosing to decline them using the pop up on our website; blocking cookies may limit certain features.

Do Not Track

Because there is no accepted standard for Do Not Track (DNT) signals, we currently do not respond to DNT browser headers. Third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different sites when you use our Services.

Our Services may link to or integrate with third‑party sites and services (e.g., social‑media plug‑ins, ticketing platforms). Any information you provide to those parties is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

7. Communications – Email & SMS Compliance

  • Email: While political fundraising and advocacy emails are generally exempt from the federal CAN‑SPAM Act, our email vendors require a valid sender name, physical address, and functional unsubscribe link, and we comply with those requirements.
  • SMS & Voice: Autodialed or prerecorded calls/texts to mobile phones are sent in accordance with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA carrier rules.
  • Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.

8. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with a new “Effective Date.”

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect PII from children. If we learn we have received such information without parental consent, we will delete it.

11. Nevada & California Privacy Notices

Although we are a nonprofit political organization not subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the Nevada privacy law, we honor verified requests from residents of those states who wish to know whether we disclose personal information for third‑party fundraising purposes. To submit a request, email contactus@stangop.org with the subject line “STATE PRIVACY REQUEST.”
